Andre is the "voice" of A.W. Entertainment serving as Event Host and owner. He is a second generation entertainer that was first introduced to the DJ industry when he was five years old by his father Garry, also a mobile DJ for many years. Andre started out assisting as a lighting tech and lining up the wedding party for their grand entrance. It was not long until Andre made his debut as an MC at a local benefit event in 1997.
While in high school, Andre participated in theater productions serving on the technical crew to include set construction, sound & light design, and stage management.
In 2010 Andre received a phone call to perform as a DJ for a friends backyard reception. With only a Peavey Guitar amp, CD player, laptop, and some homemade lighting, he was able to provide a great evening of entertainment and memories. After this event he and his wife Megan decided to begin a part-time business. What developed from that one event is an ever evolving professional DJ service that has become known throughout the area as a class act. A continuing student of the industry, Andre studies new and innovative ideas to bring to our area's entertainment experience. He has developed long-lasting relationships with local vendors, venues, and mobile DJ's.
Andre's other professional involvement includes assisting Generoo (a local theatre and arts organization), providing sound & light design and technical direction for theater productions, theater camps, and other functions. In the past Andre provided technical theater direction at West Snyder Middle School during school plays, musicals and concerts.
He is proud to be a first responder and has a deep passion for helping fellow first responders and military personnel with event needs. Andre has been honored to be a part of many such events over the years including at Fort Indiantown Gap.
Andre and the team have successfully produced top quality entertainment experiences throughout central Pennsylvania and beyond.
